Job Description
Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an Information Systems Manager to join a high-impact government technology program supporting enterprise infrastructure, virtualization, storage, and secure systems operations. The Information Systems Manager will oversee technical teams, manage enterprise systems environments, and support mission-critical infrastructure initiatives focused on performance, security, reliability, and continuous service improvement.
Clearance Requirement:
Possess an active Q or TS level clearance (or equivalent) with the ability to obtain a Q level clearance within six (6) months of hiring.

Clearance Requirement:

Responsibilities of the Information Systems Manager:
- Manage systems professionals directly and/or through subordinate leads by providing leadership, coaching, mentorship, and technical guidance
- Act as a senior advisor to technical teams to resolve complex infrastructure issues and ensure project schedules are met
- Monitor enterprise system performance and implement improvements to increase reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency
- Develop and administer project schedules, operational metrics, and performance requirements
- Lead hiring efforts, team development, and workforce planning initiatives
- Enhance enterprise information systems by identifying technology opportunities and developing strategic application and infrastructure solutions
- Oversee maintenance of accounts, system security, workflows, and secure systems connectivity
- Manage enterprise information systems policies, procedures, and governance standards
- Support service delivery initiatives including SLA/OLA management, continuous service improvement, and problem management processes
- Ensure compliance with IT security standards, operational best practices, and organizational policies
Qualifications of the Information Systems Manager:
- Active Q or TS Clearance (or equivalent) required with ability to obtain Q Clearance within six months
- 10+ years of related professional IT infrastructure and systems management experience
- Extensive experience with VMware virtualization technologies including deployment, administration, troubleshooting, and optimization
- Strong expertise in enterprise storage technologies including SAN, NAS, and backup/recovery solutions
- Hands-on experience with Commvault enterprise backup and disaster recovery platforms
- Strong experience supporting Windows and Linux server environments
- Experience with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies including VMware and Hyper-V
- Experience with database management systems including SQL Server, MySQL, and PostgreSQL
- Strong networking knowledge including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and firewall technologies
- Deep understanding of IT security principles, compliance requirements, and infrastructure best practices
- Experience with ITIL frameworks, DevOps methodologies, and enterprise service management
- Demonstrated experience supporting SLA/OLA management, Knowledge Management, Service Delivery, Continuous Service Improvement, and Problem Management initiatives
