Industrial / Manufacturing Process Engineer (2nd / 3rd Shift)
Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated Industrial / Manufacturing Process Engineer to support production and operational excellence initiatives during 2nd or 3rd shift operations. This role focuses on improving manufacturing efficiency, optimizing workflows, enhancing production performance, and driving continuous improvement across operations.
Key Responsibilities
Review manufacturing and operational activities to identify improvements in productivity, quality, throughput, and cost efficiency.
Design, refine, and optimize production processes, workflows, and resource utilization strategies.
Assist with production scheduling support, line balancing, capacity planning, and workflow optimization.
Conduct process studies, workflow evaluations, and standard operating procedure development.
Analyze operational and production data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
Support implementation of operational enhancements, process updates, and revised work instructions.
Collaborate with engineering, production, quality, and operations teams to improve execution and operational performance.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and support lean manufacturing efforts across production environments.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or an equivalent related technical discipline.
Hands-on experience in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, production operations, or process improvement environments.
Background supporting aerospace, NASA-related programs, or large-scale/high-volume manufacturing operations.
Experience evaluating workflows, manufacturing systems, or operational processes.
Strong analytical skills with experience using production or operational data to support decision-making and process optimization.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Value Stream Mapping, or continuous improvement methodologies.
Experience working in fast-paced manufacturing or production support environments.
Familiarity with capacity planning, workload distribution, and production flow analysis.
Understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes or launch operations environments.
Previous experience supporting operations at Kennedy Space Center is a plus.
