Northrop Grumman's Corporate Sector's Chief Information & Digital Office (CIDO) is seeking a Senior Principal Cybersecurity Analyst to support the Governance & Strategy organization as a Compliance Liaison.
The selected candidate will be required to work on-site, full-time at our Roy, UT campus - this is NOT a remote work opportunity.
A Compliance Liaison serves as the single point of contact for compliance and risk matters within the assigned service line. The incumbent translates the enterprise-wide compliance charter into service-line-specific policies, drives automation of control activities, and integrates governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) functions with the line's processes and technology platforms. The role champions a "Compliance-by-Design" culture and ensures that all deliverables meet applicable regulatory frameworks.

Primary Level Salary Range: $122,800.00 - $184,200.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

Key Responsibilities:
Compliance Alignment
- Convert the enterprise compliance charter into service-line policies, procedures, and standards.
- Ensure projects, contracts, and deliverables satisfy relevant frameworks (ITAR, DFARS, CMMC, GDPR, SOX, ISO 27001, AS9100, etc.).
Risk Management
- Perform line-level risk assessments; maintain the service-line risk register.
- Escalate high-risk items to the Organization Risk Management Council.
Control Engineering & Automation
- Design, build, and maintain automated compliance controls (rule-based checks, workflow approvals, continuous-monitoring scripts).
- Recommend tool integrations and processes between enterprise level systems (E.g., ERP, MES), and compliance tools (e.g., RSA Archer GRC ServiceNow, RSA Archer).
Governance Integration
- Liaise between the service line, Quality/Mission Assurance, and enterprise governance bodies (Compliance Steering Committee, Legal & Regulatory Council, Risk Council, etc.).
- Coordinate collection, validation, and reporting of compliance metrics for the monthly executive dashboard.
Training & Awareness
- Develop and deliver service-line-specific compliance training and micro-learning modules.
- Promote a culture of ethical behavior and "Compliance-by-Design" via workshops, town-halls, and newsletters.
Audit & Issue Management
- Prepare for internal and external audits; remediate findings and track closure against SLAs.
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of compliance incidents (detect → resolve → root-cause → preventive action).
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce manual effort, and improve control effectiveness.
- Recommend enhancements to enterprise GRC platforms based on line-level feedback.
Basic Qualifications:
- Master's degree with 6 years of relevant experience; OR a Bachelor's degree with 8 years; OR an Associate's degree with 14 years is required.
- Candidates must have a current U.S. Government Secret levelsecurity clearance (or higher) in order to be considered.
- Candidates must have the ability to obtain, and maintain, a U.S. Government Top Secret level security clearance as a condition of continued employment.
- Candidates must have the ability to obtain, and maintain, access to Special Programs as a condition of continued employment.
- Demonstrated experience in cybersecurity compliance (e.g., Assessment and Authorization under RMF).
- Experience in Risk Management Framework and with customer-level implementation guidance (e.g., NISPOM, JSIG, DAAG/DAAPM, ICD-503).
- Excellent written and verbal communication - able to translate technical controls into business language for senior leadership.
- Influential stakeholder management across legal, engineering, finance, and product teams.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Cybersecurity or related field, a CISSP, and 10+ years of information system security or compliance experience in a classified environment.
- Current SAP/SAR Access.
- Direct experience in a defense-contracting environment supporting multiple regulatory regimes.
- Experience developing workflows and integrations between GRC tools and other enterprise level systems (e.g., ITSM, ERP, etc.).
- Demonstrated record of reducing manual compliance effort through automation (e.g., ≥ 30 % reduction in manual checks).
