Description:
You will be the Electromechanical Engineer for the Hardware Engineering team within Missiles & Fire Control (MFC). Our team delivers the high reliability electronic packaging, harnesses, and enclosures that power missile and radar systems for the United States and allied militaries.
What You Will Be Doing
As the ElectroMechanical Engineer you will own the end to end development and production of electromechanical hardware on one or more defense programs. You'll lead cross functional teams, mentor junior engineers, and ensure every design meets strict size, weight, power, and environmental requirements. Your responsibilities will include:
• Leading hardware development and production efforts, driving schedules, quality, and cost targets.
• Designing CCA/PWB packages, harness assemblies, and electronic enclosures; creating detailed 3 D models, 2 D drawings, and layout documents in Windchill/CREO.
• Selecting materials, components, and manufacturing processes that satisfy SWaP C and harsh environment constraints.
• Acting as the Material Review Board (MRB) authority, making technical decisions and steering issue resolution.
• Defining acceptance test criteria, executing verification tests, and documenting results for each hardware iteration.
• Performing thermal, shock, vibration, and EMI analyses to certify compliance with flight qualification standards.
• Coordinating with senior management, production, quality, and customer stakeholders to align cost, schedule, and technical objectives.
• Providing technical guidance, mentorship, and best practice sharing to junior engineers and cross functional partners.
• Maintaining configuration control and complete design documentation in Lockheed Martin PLM tools.
• Participating in technical reviews, design assurance boards, and IRAD activities that advance program capability.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related STEM field from an accredited university; Master's degree preferred
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Electromechanical Engineering or related discipline
• Experience with CREO and Windchill or equivalent CAD and PLM tools
• Experience with MFC circuit card and printed wiring board packaging design
• Experience with Technical Data Package generation, including BOM creation in Windchill, 2D drawings, and 3D modeling
• Working knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience working with defense customers
• Team management experience
• Must be a US Citizen; must possess or be able to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance
Desired Skills:
• Prior knowledge of MFC programs (e.g., AVDS, VBK, MAPS)
• IRAD to LRIP transition experience
• Experience working with production and quality teams
• MRB authority experience
• Experience with electronics, machined components, test equipment, cable assemblies, and circuit cards
• Experience with Windchill PDM (Product Data Management)
• Experience with military and aerospace specifications
• Ability to manage multiple assignments/programs
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and AutoCAD
• Experience designing electronics packaging for Flight Termination Systems
• Knowledge of Design Assurance processes
• Working knowledge of Zuken
• Flex circuit design experience
• Active DoD Secret or Top Secret Clearance
