Job Description
GovCIO is currently hiring for a Portfolio Operations Lead for the Memorials and Corporate Portfolios. This position will be fully remote within the continental United States.
Responsibilities
The Portfolio Operations Lead provides operational and administrative to the Portfolio Director and Program Managers across the Memorials and Corporate portfolios. This role serves as a central coordination point to ensure administrative continuity, consistency, and alignment across programs. The Portfolio Operations Lead supports leadership in employee engagement, deliverables support, communications, and day-to-day administrative operations.
This position is responsible for improving collaboration across programs, maintaining visibility into key actions and deliverables, and enabling leadership to focus on customer delivery and strategic growth.

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for improving collaboration across programs, maintaining visibility into key actions and deliverables, and enabling leadership to focus on customer delivery and strategic growth.
- Reports to Portfolio Director and support the Portfolio Director and Program Managers in coordinating activities across the Memorials and Corporate portfolios.
- Maintain integrated schedules, action trackers, deliverable calendars, and reporting tools at the portfolio level and assists Program Managers with administrative support, as needed.
- Facilitate continuity and standardization of processes, templates, and reporting across programs.
- Plan and encourage employee engagement activities and support with facilitation and planning, aligning with other portfolios within the business unit.
- Prepare agendas, meeting minutes, decision logs, and executive presentations, where needed.
- Support contract administration, onboarding, staffing updates, and organizational changes.
- Maintain organizational charts, role assignments, and workforce data, where needed.
- Support onboarding and integration of new hires and transitioning employees.
- Draft and distribute internal communications on portfolio updates, organizational changes, and key initiatives.
- Prepare recurring status reports, dashboards, and leadership briefings.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's with 2-5 years (or commensurate experience)
Clearance Required: Ability to obtain and maintain a Suitability/Public Trust clearance.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experience in government contracting or portfolio/program management.
- Excellent communication skills and administrative skills.
- Current Public Trust a plus.
- Knowledge of workforce planning, employee engagement, and organizational change management.
- Familiarity with project management tools and reporting dashboards including Jira, SNOW, and Mural
- Scrum Master Certification is a plus
