Director of Operations- HCS

Location: Remote

Description:

Seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and organized Director of Operations to join our Human Capital Solutions team in support of our military and government contracts. This is a Program Management opportunity with immediate responsibility and significant room to grow.

From day one, you will take ownership of supervising a team of 60 strength and conditioning coaches embedded across military installations nationwide - serving as their primary point of contact, contract supervisor, and advocate within the company. At the same time, you will support broader project management operations, helping drive efficiency, accountability, and excellence across all our government programs.

This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, thrives in a structured environment, communicates clearly, and is eager to build a career in project management within a mission-driven, performance-focused organization.

This position reports to the Vice President of Human Capital Solutions

Job Responsibilities:

Contractor Supervision & Liaison

• Serve as the contracting supervisor for approximately 60 strength and conditioning coaches across multiple military installations.

• Approve time sheets and ensure accurate time reporting compliance.

• Conduct performance evaluations and reviews for contracted personnel.

• Act as the primary liaison between contractors in the field and the company, ensuring clear communication, issue resolution, and contractor support.

Project Management

• Accurately determine, assign, track, and manage project tasks, activities, documentation, and time requirements.

• Support other Project Managers with tracking and managing project tasks and deliverables across the HCS team

• Assist with the project initiation process by developing project timetables and tracking execution and workflow

• Aid in the preparation and distribution of project status reports

• Drive risk management process improvements, efficiencies, and workflow enhancements

Tools, Data & Documentation

• Create and maintain tracking systems for SCC training requirements, travel, and roster changes

• Assist with developing tools and metrics to evaluate performance of target initiatives

• Maintain and archive project documentation; update Salesforce with current project status

• Oversee and reinforce proper Education Assistance Request usage

Required Skills:

• Strong organizational and time management skills - able to juggle multiple priorities.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.

• Comfort working within government contract frameworks and compliance requirements.

• Team player - willingness to adjust, pivot, and support the always changing needs of the team.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Desired Skills:

• Background in Human or Organizational Performance or Sport and Performance Psychology.

• Understanding of strength and conditioning, human performance, or military fitness programs.

• Experience with or exposure to government contracting or federal program administration.

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

• Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM/project management platforms.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in business, project management, sports management, kinesiology, organizational development, or a related field
