In this role, you will:
- Work extensively with Government officials analyzing budget requirements and assisting the Government by compiling and analyzing data and providing information to facilitate the prioritization and submission of out-year budgets to support the IUSS Program and IUSS Customers.
- Assist the Government in estimating costs using approved tools and methodologies. Provide completed cost estimations to the Government customer for planning and budgetary decisions.
- Assist in the preparation of spend plans, various financial reports, answering data calls from customers, and maintaining historical documentation required for future reference.
- Ensure the accuracy of programmatic related data in the Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, to include monitoring day-to-day transactions and report accuracy results of these activities to Government and Program Managers. Using experience and knowledge, provide training to Government and contractor personnel as required in support of the IUSS Program.
- Provide support to Government managers by monitoring the Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) program withing the NIWC IOSC as required
- Develop presentations and briefs for senior Government officials. Deliver/participate in briefings, training events, seminars, and other program related events as needed.
- Analyze funding streams and provide the Government customer with recommendations concerning spending prioritization and courses of action.
- Perform other related duties as may be required.
- Occasionally travel in support of IUSS Program functions.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- An Active Current Secret clearance.
- US Citizenship.
- Ability to travel to CONUS locations up to 10% of work year
- Bachelors degree and 8 years of experience performing government financial management related duties supporting Government programs to include cost estimation, budget development, planning and controlling program expenditures, etc.
- or High School Diploma and 10 years of experience
- Intimate knowledge of Government budgeting process and financial management requirements
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project).
