Job Description

Position Description Summary:
The Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) Outfitting and Configuration position provides on-site logistics, outfitting, configuration management, reporting, and project review support for the U.S. Coast Guard Offshore Patrol Cutter Project Resident Office in Mobile, Alabama. The role supports outfitting and configuration activities aboard cutters under construction, prepares status materials for project reviews, participates in Physical Configuration Audits, and develops reports, charts, briefs, and presentations related to outfitting, load-out, configuration, and logistics support requirements.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare outfitting and configuration management materials for project reviews, including charts, briefs, reports, and presentations.
• Generate ad hoc outfitting and configuration reports as required.
• Participate in outfitting material activities aboard the cutter.
• Participate in Physical Configuration Audits and support related audit preparation, tracking, and reporting.
• Attend meetings related to outfitting, configuration, logistics, and assigned project tasks.
• Prepare and deliver presentations on outfitting status, Physical Configuration Audit status, and related logistics or configuration matters.
• Support tracking and validation of outfitting/load-out activities and configuration-related program requirements.
• Apply knowledge of shipbuilding, logistics sustainment, equipment validation, product tracking, and configuration management to support OPC project execution.
• Coordinate with Government leads, shipbuilder representatives, and other stakeholders to gather information, validate status, and support reporting requirements.
• Support documentation, analysis, and reporting related to Contract Data Requirement List processes, Engineering Change Proposal impacts, technical assessments, logistics life cycle sustainment, and configuration control.
• Perform work in an active shipyard environment and aboard OPCs under construction, as required.

Skills & Experience:
• At least three years of experience relevant to supporting logistics, configuration, or shipbuilding processes.
• Comprehensive knowledge of shipbuilding processes, including technical assessment reviews, proposal development, equipment life cycle cost, logistics life cycle sustainment, and Engineering Change Proposal processes.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Contract Data Requirement List processes.
• Comprehensive knowledge of outfitting and load-out of ships.
• Comprehensive knowledge of configuration management.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Physical Configuration Audits.
• Experience with vessel outfitting, equipment validation, storeroom placements, VIN marking, product tracking, and logistics impacts.
• Knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluative methods to organize, plan, conduct, evaluate, and administer outfitting and configuration activities.
• Ability to produce reports, briefings, charts, and presentations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Excel.
• Strong attention to detail in tracking, validating, documenting, and reporting outfitting and configuration status.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with Government personnel, shipbuilder personnel, logistics stakeholders, and technical teams.
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance while meeting deadlines and project requirements.
• Ability to perform moderate walking and movement through an active shipyard and aboard OPCs under construction.

Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in a business field or related technical/business field required.
• A substitution may be accepted with a minimum of four additional years of relevant experience in addition to the required three minimum years of experience.

Security Clearance Required:
• Must be able to obtain and maintain the required background investigation and access credentials necessary to perform work under the contract.
• Must be eligible for Common Access Card issuance.
• Must comply with DHS/USCG security, suitability, confidentiality, and non-disclosure requirements.
• Secret-level clearance eligibility is preferred based on the sensitive business, financial, and proprietary information associated with the requirement.
