What You Will Be Doing
As the C-130J System Specialist you will be responsible for delivering expert aircrew support across flight test, training, and customer demonstration operations.
"Your responsibilities will include:"
• Perform production acceptance flights, engineering test flights, customer demonstration, acceptance and training flights
• Act as an instructor for training of aircrew during syllabus training flights and may conduct classroom training for customer aircrew
• Provide support to demonstration flights with customers, government officials, or other
• personnel to exhibit aircraft performance and capabilities
• Provide aircrew expertise and support to developmental and engineering teams, training, customer support and marketing teams regarding aircrew interfaces
• Provide detailed reports to engineering with findings, recommendations, and solutions to improve the product
• Support short and long term domestic and international deployments supporting customer training and maintenance requirements
• Act as a liaison with maintenance work force
• Perform on-aircraft maintenance; aircraft maintenance training; aircrew training; and quality assurance functions when required
• Perform engine runs on all variants of the C-130J
• Perform Functional Check Flights (FCF) on all variants of the C-130J
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in specific systems of the C-130J
• Willing to travel up to 25% of the work year

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start.
Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum of 1500 hours flight experience as a Flight Engineer/Crewmaster in a variant of the C-130E/H/J
• C-130 Flight Engineer/Crewmaster Instructor Certification
• C-130 maintenance work experience
• Current FAA Class 2 medical certificate or obtain one within 30 days of reporting
Desired Skills:
• C-130 Flight Engineer/Crewmaster Evaluator Certification
• APU/Low/High Power Engine Run Certification
• FCF qualified
• Flight Test experience
• FAA Mechanic Certificate (Airframe and Powerplant)
• CDI/QAR/7 Level qualified
• Experience with aircrew training courseware development
