Position Overview

PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Material Handler 4 to join our team in Melbourne, FL. This role is critical to supporting warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and material movement.
Key Responsibilities

• Receive, stock, and issue materials in bulk storage areas and/or via automated carousel systems
• Verify incoming and outgoing items for accuracy, quantity, and condition
• Maintain accurate inventory records using barcodes and computerized inventory systems
• Perform stock transactions and cycle counts within inventory systems
• Prepare, package, and ship products according to established procedures
• Load and unload trucks; unpack and organize incoming shipments
• Pull and stage materials from stockrooms for distribution
• Pick up and deliver materials both within and outside of the facility

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required
• Basic math skills and ability to perform calculations accurately
• Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instructions
• Basic computer proficiency and data entry skills
• Prior experience in warehouse, shipping/receiving, or inventory control preferred

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Frequent lifting of up to 25 lbs and occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment

Work Environment

This position operates in a shipping and receiving warehouse, with responsibilities that include unloading trucks, unpacking materials, and organizing inventory in stockrooms.
