Position Overview
- Support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract
- Serve as a senior-level Data Architect bridging business requirements with technical execution
- Design, deploy, and manage enterprise-level data architecture supporting strategic mission goals
- Develop and maintain the organization's long-term data management vision and strategy
- Lead efforts involving enterprise data systems, architecture modernization, analytics, and AI integration
Key Responsibilities
- Develop short-term (2-year) and long-term (5-7 year) organizational data strategies aligned with mission objectives
- Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models
- Guide enterprise data structure, integration, and data flow processes
- Coordinate with cross-functional technical teams to ensure system functionality and data accessibility
- Implement and audit security measures to maintain data integrity and governance compliance
- Plan and execute large-scale enterprise data solutions
- Manage the full data lifecycle from platform selection through implementation and testing
- Support modernization initiatives involving AI and legacy system integration
- Utilize advanced analytics and visualization tools to present complex data insights
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of overall professional experience
- Advanced education may reduce required years of experience
- 5+ years of directly related Data Architect or enterprise data experience
- 1+ year of management or leadership experience
- Strong SQL development and database administration experience
- Experience with RDBMS platforms such as:
- PostgreSQL
- Oracle
- Experience with NoSQL technologies such as:
- MongoDB
- Cassandra
- Experience with visualization tools including:
- Power BI
- Tableau
- Strong programming/scripting experience with:
- Python
- Java
- C/C++
- Perl
- Experience with cloud platforms including:
- AWS
- Microsoft Azure
- Google Cloud Platform
- Understanding of:
- Machine Learning (ML)
- Natural Language Processing (NLP)
- Predictive Modeling
- Familiarity with:
- MBSE (Model-Based Systems Engineering)
- AI integration into legacy systems
- Active DoD Secret Security Clearance required
