DESCRIPTION OF POSITION / DUTIES:
All Points is seeking a dedicated Systems Administrator III to support the AEGIS Managed Services contract at NASA Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, Ohio. This is a hands-on, senior-level systems administration role focused on system operations, infrastructure support, and cybersecurity compliance within enterprise IT environments.
This is not an entry-level or junior position. Candidates must have direct experience supporting production systems, resolving complex issues, and maintaining secure, compliant infrastructure environments.
The selected candidate will support Windows and/or Linux systems, including virtualized infrastructure, storage, and network environments, while ensuring system stability, performance, and security.

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION / DUTIES:
All Points is seeking a dedicated Systems Administrator III to support the AEGIS Managed Services contract at NASA Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, Ohio. This is a hands-on, senior-level systems administration role focused on system operations, infrastructure support, and cybersecurity compliance within enterprise IT environments.
This is not an entry-level or junior position. Candidates must have direct experience supporting production systems, resolving complex issues, and maintaining secure, compliant infrastructure environments.
The selected candidate will support Windows and/or Linux systems, including virtualized infrastructure, storage, and network environments, while ensuring system stability, performance, and security.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Install, configure, patch, and maintain Windows and/or Linux systems and appliances
- Monitor system performance, availability, and security
- Manage system configurations, access controls, and group policy objects
- Support virtual infrastructure, including virtual machines, storage, and networking
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for system-related incidents and requests
- Troubleshoot complex hardware, software, and network issues
- Manage and test system backups and disaster recovery procedures
- Ensure system data integrity, availability, and recoverability
- Identify and remediate system vulnerabilities and apply security updates
- Ensure systems remain compliant with organizational and industry standards
- Conduct system and configuration audits to maintain compliance
- Maintain system documentation, configurations, and procedures
- Generate reports on system health, performance, and security
- Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to resolve issues and improve performance
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff
EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field REQUIRED
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 6 years of hands-on systems administration experience REQUIRED. NO EXCEPTIONS. (Experience must include direct administration of enterprise Windows and/or Linux environments supporting infrastructure, operations, and troubleshooting.)
SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong experience administering Windows and/or Linux systems in production environments
- Experience supporting enterprise infrastructure and hardware environments
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix, or similar)
- Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Experience performing system patching, upgrades, and configuration management
- Experience providing Tier 2/3 support for infrastructure and system issues
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience working in compliance-driven environments and applying system security practices
- Experience supporting and maintaining hardware systems and infrastructure
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
PREFERRED / DESIRED SKILLS
- Experience with HCL BigFix
- Experience with hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI)
- Experience with Cohesity or similar storage/backup platforms
- Experience with automation tools such as Ansible or Terraform
- Scripting experience (Bash, PowerShell, Python)
- Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions
- Familiarity with firewalls, VPNs, and system security practices
- Experience with ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Jira) and Agile environments
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a NASA Public Trust / badging clearance
