The Boeing International Space Station (ISS) Program organization is seeking an energetic Senior Systems Engineer to join the team based in Houston, TX.
In this role, the Senior Systems Engineer will lead the ISS sustaining engineering teams and provide critical support for on-orbit operations. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead fast-paced teams tackling complex technical challenges in support of human spaceflight. As a Mission Evaluation Room (MER) Manager, you will engage with all levels of management and engineering across the NASA ISS program, Boeing ISS program, NASA Engineering, NASA Flight Operations, and NASA Payloads organizations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, technical integration, and relationship-building skills.

Position Responsibilities:
- Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify complex lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions
- Evaluates customer/operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces
- Leads engineering systems through safety, reliability, maintainability, human systems integration, and risk factor evaluation into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success
- Works directly with customers to resolve cross-functional technical issues
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- 8+ years systems engineering experience
- Experience supporting customer engineering activities
- Strong understanding of systems integration and verification
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly
- Experience working with cross functional teams
- Proficiency in systems engineering tools and processes
- Ability to lead and mentor junior engineers
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Master's degree in engineering or related field
- 10+ years of systems engineering experience
- Experience in aerospace or space systems engineering
- Familiarity with NASA programs and processes
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Experience leading customer engagements
- Knowledge of human spaceflight systems
- Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills
