Position Overview
PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking a Production Technician I to support wax assembly operations and ensure production targets are met. In this role, you will rotate through key processes including sprue injection, plate preparation, and kitting for both DS (Directional Solidification) and Equiax applications. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment that requires attention to detail, teamwork, and adherence to safety standards.

Position Overview
PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking a Production Technician I to support wax assembly operations and ensure production targets are met. In this role, you will rotate through key processes including sprue injection, plate preparation, and kitting for both DS (Directional Solidification) and Equiax applications. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment that requires attention to detail, teamwork, and adherence to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Technical Duties
- Support wax assembly operations to meet production goals
- Perform sprue injection and setup of dies
- Prepare plates and materials for wax mold production
- Fill sprue presses with wax and interpret setup drawings
- Construct gates, sprues, runners, and perform subassemblies
- Transport materials (cores, waxes, plates, molds) between work areas
- Maintain production records and ensure accuracy
- Assist with unloading incoming materials
- Organize work areas, storage, and tooling
- Provide materials to wax cells (lot travelers, sprues, plates, patterns, etc.)
- Perform kitting and preparation tasks
- Maintain Heijunka board when applicable
- Frequently review and support assembly cell needs
- Follow all company and regulatory safety guidelines
- Wear required PPE at all times
- Report hazards, injuries, or concerns promptly
- Participate in EHS training programs
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship available)
- Must meet ITAR requirements (U.S. citizen or permanent resident)
- Must reside within 50 miles of Dover, NJ (no relocation assistance provided)
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
- Regular use of manufacturing equipment, including:
- Injection machines
- Turntables
- Hot knives
- Lifting devices
- Frequent collaboration with team members and supervisors
- Fast-paced manufacturing setting with rotating responsibilities
