Position Summary
ECS is seeking a System Performance Engineer - Senior to support the Army National Guard (ARNG) ENOCS program in optimizing system performance and ensuring the scalability and reliability of enterprise IT environments. The selected candidate will play a critical role in analyzing and forecasting processing capacity needs, identifying potential performance risks, and recommending architecture enhancements to improve system availability and operational efficiency. This position is integral to maintaining the high standards of performance required by the ARNG's mission-critical systems.

Position Summary

The selected candidate will play a critical role in analyzing and forecasting processing capacity needs, identifying potential performance risks, and recommending architecture enhancements to improve system availability and operational efficiency. This position is integral to maintaining the high standards of performance required by the ARNG's mission-critical systems.

Responsibilities
- Analyze system performance metrics to identify areas for improvement in scalability, reliability, and capacity.
- Develop and implement processing capacity forecasts based on projected workloads and storage demands.
- Identify and assess performance risks, providing strategic recommendations for architecture enhancements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system performance aligns with enterprise objectives.
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of system performance to ensure operational efficiency.
- Recommend and implement solutions to enhance system availability and reliability.
- Lead initiatives to optimize system performance across various enterprise environments.
Required Qualifications
- Clearance: Secret Eligible required
- S. Citizenship required
- DoD 8140.03 Compliance: DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF) Work Role 632-Systems Developer at the Intermediate proficiency level
- Certifications (one or more required): CSSLP, GCLD, GSEC
- Education: Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Software Engineering
- Minimum of 40 years of experience in systems analysis, requirements management, and software development
- Proven experience leading large-scale program development, managing extensive requirements and interfaces
- Strong background in system design, testing, documentation, and Level 3 support operations
- Experience with DoD 8140 alignment and relevant cybersecurity frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to manage and optimize complex IT environments
Desired Qualifications
- Clearance: Active Secret preferred
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Experience with SAFe Scrum Master methodologies
- Extensive experience in the ARNG or DoD IT environments
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on performance optimization
- Familiarity with enterprise-level system architecture and enhancement strategies
