Volt is immediately hiring a RF Engineer in Plano, TX
We need an immediate need for a RF Engineer supporting production and sustainment programs. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience with a variety of RF platforms, including Active Electronically Scanned Arrays, Digital Receiver Exciter Subassemblies, and RF measurement equipment. The successful candidate will collaborate with other Engineering disciplines to help address and solve complex system and sub-system issues that arise during production, testing, and fielded hardware. This position will require advanced technical investigations, troubleshooting, technical leadership, and knowledge transfer to team members.
What You Will Do:
Conducting failure investigations and providing recommendations to address systemic issues and to prevent recurrence
Analysis tool development and simulation in support of problem identification and resolution
Perform trade studies to optimize system performance and future developments
Collaboration with Systems Engineers to develop and implement solutions
Identify, manage, and mitigate technical risk
Generate technical reports to present to management and the customer.
Contract duration: 12 months
Clearance: Top-Secret
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field).
Minimum of 8 years of experience in RF data analysis, fault isolation, and system-to-subsystem level troubleshooting. Advanced proficiency with RF equipment, including Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, Power Meters, Oscilloscopes, and DMMs.
Hands-on experience with RF/Antenna testing in compact ranges and anechoic chambers, including calibrating and maintaining chamber equipment for accurate measurements.
In-depth experience with Active Electronically Scanned Arrays and extensive knowledge of Digital Receiver Exciter subassemblies.
Proven experience working within a formal production program.
Proficiency in developing and generating data analysis tools using MATLAB.
Pay Range: $90.00 - $ 100.00 per hour.
