Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) experience analyzing complex technical requirements and evaluated emerging IT products to recommend the adoption of new network solutions; (2) experience conducting comprehensive risk and vulnerability assessments on information systems to identify protection needs (3) experience administering networked systems by configuring servers, routers, and switches; (4)experience utilizing 802.1x such as Cisco Identity Service Engine (ISE); and (5)experience utilizing Software Defined Access (SDA) such as Cisco Catalyst Center. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of up to 10% of the time.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret SCI security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- This is a drug testing designated position (TDP) under the Department of the Army Drug Free Federal Workplace Program, the incumbent must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- IAW DoDM Army guidance must obtain and maintain requirements for each Cyber work role at proficiency level: 1) Foundational qualification- 9 months; Resident qualification -12 months; Continuous Professional Development (CPD) per work role code.
