As a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST at the NH-0346-3 some of your typical work assignments may include:
- Assist with the direction, development, and performance of multi-functional logistics management operations that include planning, coordinating and evaluating the logistics actions required to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) goals and mission.
- Identify the specific requirements for money, manpower, materiel, facilities, and services required to support the Program Manager's (PM) cost, schedule and performance objectives.
- Correlate PM objectives with program plans to ensure required logistics support is provided at the right time and place.
- Coordinate and evaluate logistics support to identify and execute specific requirements, identify and mitigate risk, and to develop and adjust plans and schedules for the actions required to meet each requirement on time.
- Coordinate with higher level specialists to jointly research and develop readiness and logistics plans, strategies, and procedures focusing on delivering a BMDS capability that is effective, efficient, and supportable to meet operational requirements.

- This is an acquisition position coded Foundational in Life Cycle Logistics. Incumbent must obtain mandatory Back to Basics (B2B) certification within 60 months of entry into position.

- Apply logistics processes, policies, procedures, and practices necessary to develop and assess technical and economic feasibility, including cost, schedule and performance for major weapon system programs.
- Identify and apply the concepts, policies, and practices of logistics management as they pertain to new and in-service systems during all acquisition phases of the life cycle.
- Provide operations and sustainment for a major weapon system.
- Research, plan, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, and brief logistics actions in support of leadership's goals and vision.
