PRIMARY FUNCTION

The Senior Operations Manager is responsible for the analysis and performance monitoring of the effectiveness of Production control, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, and Integration process and procedures within the organization. This position assists the Director in overseeing the day to day operations for all of the Operations Department.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Assist the Director with day to day supervision of Production control, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, and Integration to ensure these departments are operating in accordance with defined organizational policies and procedures, and contract requirements
• Oversee all standard operating procedures and processes for Production control, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, and Integration departments
• Monitor and Manage all ERP/MRP processes and software projects within the department
• Compile reports and statistics to demonstrate and monitor departmental performance based on cost and schedule of requirements
• Ensure that all activities are conducted in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), AS9100, and AS9110 Standards
• Responsible for providing input and influencing key decisions relating to all aspects of procurement, production planning, and execution of the product realization process
• Analyze industry trends and evolving technology to proactively identify base issues, minimize risk, protect the continuity of the department, and exploit emerging opportunities.
• Serve as a resource to the Director of Operations to resolves issues as needed between other functional and program requirements
• Works closely with Quality and audit functions to coordinate department compliance audits and policy input
• Support Director regarding departmental long-term planning, processes, budgeting, and proposing
• Support Director in attending meetings to ensure cost, schedule, and performance of the organization and to provide internal and external customer support
• When necessary work with the Director and / or Managers to complete employee performance evaluations and disciplinary actions
• Perform consistent evaluation of maintenance and improvements, partnering with other department Managers to ensure resolution of issues, and consistently directing the evolution of processes and procedures related to the day to day operations of Production Control, Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, and Integration
• Train and Supervise Production Control, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Integration staff to monitor and resolve customer issues and accomplish objectives, by being a role model to impress upon staff to be self-motivated with the ambition to problem-solve, learn, and create their own mechanisms for resolving issues and most importantly, communicate effectively within a team environment
• Interacting with other team members, including department managers and managers from other directorates to ensure execution of the department's overall requirements and objectives.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has direct reports and supervisory responsibilities. This position supervises employees on a daily basis. This position has the authority to carry out assigned tasks and appropriately delegate responsibility.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
• Advanced computer skills specifically using Microsoft Office Suite; Dynafact Manufacturing Software, Deltek Costpoint Materials Module and ability to learn additional computer skills or software programs.
• Ability to enter data accurately into databases.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Interpersonal skills are necessary to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and staff. Will also routinely interact with external contacts such as customers, vendors, suppliers, shipping companies, etc.
• Must be trustworthy - will handle confidential information routinely.
• Effective communication skills to effectively and clearly communicate complex information to others as well as to present information in from of a group.
• Ability to use general office equipment such as fax, phone, copier, scanner, printers, etc.
• Ability to follow a process.
• Strong professional customer service skills, including active listening, prompt service and follow-up.
• Analytical skills with the ability to evaluate data and consider decision impact across multiple areas.
• Strong decision analysis and problem-solving skills; ability to draw conclusions and justify decisions. Must be able to communicate issues to management.
• Ability to learn and understand corporate policies and procedures and how they relate to the company's goals.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical computations.
• High degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently
• Ability to multi-task.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• High School Diploma or equivalent with 15+ years' experience in Procurement, Manufacturing, or Integration setting. With Certification in Six Sigma Black Belt(SSBB) or Project Management Professional(PMP)
• Supervisory experience
• Experience working with Costpoint / Cognos required
• Working knowledge of AS9100,AS9110, FAR, DFARs
• Previous experience with MRP/ERP Software Systems
• Ability to pass a drug and background screening
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
