Lab Systems Administrator
Location: Santa Clara, CA.
Required Clearance: Top Secret/SCI with FS Poly

Job Description:
Provide IT and data center support services in a manufacturing lab environment, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, storage appliances, and workstation systems across both bare-metal and virtual environments. Deploy operating systems (Windows, RHEL, VMware) using standardized processes, installing and supporting applications and EDA tools, managing license servers, and assisting with data transfers. Includes physical infrastructure tasks such as racking equipment, cabling, and workstation setup, along with ongoing operational support.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and maintain:
- Servers (HPE, Dell, SuperMicro)
- Storage systems (NetApp, EMC PowerMax, Dell ECS)
- Workstations and end-user hardware
Deploy operating systems using standardized processes:
- Windows Server / Client
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
- VMware environments
- Perform application and EDA tool installation and configuration
- Support and maintain FlexLM license servers and environment setup scripts
- Execute and support data transfer activities
Perform physical data center tasks, including:
- Racking/unracking equipment
- Power and network cabling (copper and fiber)
- Equipment labeling and inventory support
- Configure and deploy complete workstation setups (hardware and peripherals)
- Troubleshoot hardware, OS, and application issues
- Follow documented procedures and ensure compliance with secure/cleared environment standards
- Provide on-call support as needed for 24/7 coverage
Qualifications:
Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph
Experience or knowledge in:
- Data center operations and hardware deployment
- Windows and/or Linux system administration
- Virtualization (VMware preferred)
- Ability to work in a hands-on, physical lab/data center environment
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to processes in secure environments
