General Summary

We are seeking a solution-oriented hunter to identify, pursue, and close new business across DOJ/FBI. The Business Development Director will focus on building a targeted $500M annual pipeline and winning $125M+ per year in new single-award opportunities. Work location is hybrid within the DMV and Reston office, preferred.
Responsibilities:
Identify, qualify, pursue, and close new single-award opportunities across DOJ/FBI enterprise IT, network engineering, and cyber.
Build and manage a robust pipeline leveraging Tyto Athene’s prime contract vehicles.
Develop strategic relationships with senior agency customers, partners, and suppliers.
Lead capture efforts, including qualification, Gate reviews, win strategy, value proposition, and pricing (including Price-to-Win).
Collaborate with technical and delivery teams to ensure innovative, deliverable solutions.
Drive pursuit timelines and meet all milestones through award.
Represent Tyto Athene at industry events and customer engagements.
Utilize CRM tools to track progress and drive growth.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (business, technical, or related field).
Minimum 5 years of experience selling new business into DOJ and FBI.
Proven record of winning at least 3 single-award opportunities valued at $75M+ each in the past 5 years, acting as the primary driver from identification to close.
Strong background in enterprise IT, network engineering, and/or cybersecurity for federal civilian agencies.
Experience in capture management, win themes, win probability, and Shipley processes.
Ability to build relationships with senior agency executives.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Competitive “hunter” mindset with willingness to travel.
