Description:Role Overview
Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Production Operations Manager to lead electrical and mechanical technicians supporting satellite electronics and weapons systems production at the Valley Forge site. This role supports growing production demands across multiple programs and helps ensure teams, processes, and resources are aligned to meet delivery, quality, and operational goals.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead daily production operations for satellite electronics and weapons systems assembly areas
• Support organizational growth to meet increasing production workloads
• Coordinate personnel, equipment, facilities, and production resources
• Identify workforce skill gaps and support training and development plans
• Build strong working relationships with program teams and functional leadership
• Drive operational efficiency, affordability, and production commonality initiatives
• Support manufacturing process development and process improvement activities
• Help implement and maintain manufacturing processes aligned with statistical process control practices
• Ensure production processes and procedures comply with applicable regulations and operational requirements
• Communicate production priorities, technical issues, and execution status across teams
• Support production schedules, including occasional off-shift or weekend coverage when needed
Work Environment
• Fast-paced production and manufacturing environment supporting critical space and defense programs
• Highly collaborative role working across production, engineering, program management, and functional teams
• Combination of leadership, operational coordination, and production floor engagement
• On-site role located at the Valley Forge facility

Basic Qualifications:
To be considered, candidates must meet all requirements listed:
• 8+ years of relevant production, manufacturing, or operations leadership experience
• Experience leading production, manufacturing, assembly, or test operations teams in a technical environment
• Experience supporting manufacturing or test operations involving electrical and/or mechanical hardware
• Experience coordinating personnel, equipment, schedules, and operational resources to meet production goals
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, technical instructions, and work documentation
• Strong communication, leadership, and team-building skills
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance
Desired Skills:
Nice-to-have skills that strengthen candidacy but are not required:
• Experience leading technicians or production personnel in aerospace, electronics, defense, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments
• Understanding of hardware production lifecycles from planning through final delivery
• Proven success leading cross-functional production or operational programs involving multiple disciplines
• Experience improving or implementing manufacturing or operational processes
• Experience implementing new manufacturing tools, workflows, or operational processes
• Experience with continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization
• Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC)
• Experience using Microsoft Project or similar scheduling tools
• Knowledge of safety, Electrostatic Discharge (ESD), hazardous waste, or security compliance programs
• Experience building strong partnerships across engineering, manufacturing, and program teams
• Ability to communicate technical issues and production updates to cross-functional teams and leadership
• Active Secret clearance or higher at the time of application

These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
