GIS Consultant - CLEARED

Our client is an award winning global integrator supporting a major branch of our Armed Forces. They have a need for a Geographic Information System Support Consultant, in this role you will provide subject matter expertise in Geographic Information Systems to enhance Department of War installation processes by implementing compliance controls and SOPs, analyzing real property data to improve accuracy and completeness, and delivering on-site GIS support as needed. This opportunity is remote in the San Antonio, TX area.

Per our Federal Government Contract, candidates must be U.S. Citizens with an ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE.

Responsibilities

• Deliver subject matter expertise in Geographic Information Systems functionality, capabilities, data collection, and compliance reconciliation methodologies.
• Develop and implement compliance controls and operational procedures to enhance current Department of War GIS processes at the installation level, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), guidance documentation, and related materials.
• Evaluate and analyze current DoW GIS real property data and provide recommendations to improve data accuracy, integrity, and completeness.
• Provide on-site GIS support at DoW installations as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; a degree in Information Science or a related field is preferred.
• Required experience working with Department of Defense Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
• Preferred experience supporting DoD audits and/or audit readiness and remediation efforts.
• Preferred experience creating and implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Ability to prepare and deliver updates and briefings to senior client stakeholders.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Previous United States Department of the Air Force experience is highly desirable.
• Real Property experience and/or knowledge is a strong plus.
• Data analytics experience is preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Power BI is a plus.
• Active DoD Secret clearance (or higher) is required.

Job Requirements

Compensation:

• W2 Hourly rate: $70 - $80. Pay rates are based on experience, qualifications, location, and certifications, and are subject to change at any time.
