Advanced Engineering Technician

The Advanced Engineering Technician supports engineering activities for prototype electro-mechanical systems, experimental circuitry, laser/light transmission devices, and specialized test equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret basic engineering drawings, diagrams, and schematics.
- Use manufacturing, test, development, and diagnostic equipment, including test programs, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and specialized test apparatus.
- Construct, modify, debug, troubleshoot, calibrate, test, and adjust tools, equipment, and systems.
- Conduct, analyze, and document statistically based experiments to define process parameters.
- Implement and document complex solutions for process improvement.
- Design and construct basic tooling and fixtures for specialized tasks.
- Organize, analyze, and interpret data to identify cause/effect relationships and recommend resolutions or process improvements.
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
- Associate's degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience.
- Active Department of Defense Secret clearance required at time of hire.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- Experience using computers and software applications to support job execution.
- Solid knowledge of computer systems, test equipment, and generally accepted technical theory.
- Experience supporting multiple technical tasks and assignments in a manufacturing, test, development, or engineering environment.
