Software Engineer/Scientist IV

We are seeking an experienced Engineer/Scientist IV to support advanced engineering and scientific initiatives in a dynamic government-focused environment. This role involves leading the design, development, and enhancement of complex systems and tools while providing technical leadership, analysis, and strategic recommendations. The ideal candidate is a strong problem solver with extensive technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and experience working closely with government stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, specification, and development of systems and tools for new and existing programs
• Develop enhancements, modifications, and corrections to complex systems and applications
• Exercise independent judgment and creativity to solve highly complex technical problems
• Conduct in-depth studies and analyses, including developing methodologies, identifying key parameters, and validating results
• Maintain broad knowledge of engineering principles, computer programming languages, techniques, and industry best practices
• Collaborate closely with government customers and stakeholders
• Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, briefings, papers, and related documentation
• Provide technical guidance and training to team members
• Lead projects and direct the work of technical staff as needed
• Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Experience leading technical teams and projects

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering, Science, or Mathematics
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
• TS/SCI clearance is required for this position. Candidates may start with an active Public Trust clearance or higher, provided they are eligible to obtain a TS/SCI.
