Software Engineer/Scientist III

We are seeking a highly motivated Engineer/Scientist III to support the design, development, and enhancement of advanced systems and tools in a government-focused environment. This role requires strong technical expertise, analytical problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with government stakeholders and technical teams. The ideal candidate will contribute to complex engineering initiatives while providing technical leadership, recommendations, and mentorship to team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct and participate in the design, specification, and development of systems and tools for new and existing programs
• Support enhancements, modifications, and corrections to complex systems and applications
• Exercise independent judgment and creativity to solve highly complex technical problems
• Perform in-depth studies and analyses, including identifying key parameters, evaluating factors, and validating results
• Maintain broad knowledge of engineering principles, programming languages, techniques, and established best practices
• Collaborate closely with government customers and stakeholders
• Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, papers, briefings, and related documentation
• Provide training and technical guidance for other employees
• Serve as a technical lead and direct the work of team members as needed
• Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving capabilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience working in collaborative technical environments

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or Mathematics
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
• TS/SCI clearance is required for this position. Candidates may start with an active Public Trust clearance or higher, provided they are eligible to obtain a TS/SCI.
