Principal Engineer/Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Principal Engineer/Scientist to provide advanced technical leadership and research support on complex programs and initiatives. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing high-level technical solutions, often involving cutting-edge research and interdisciplinary problem solving. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to guide technical teams and deliver impactful results.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead complex technical and theoretical consulting efforts across programs and projects
• Design, develop, execute, and implement advanced engineering and scientific initiatives
• Conduct research and develop innovative solutions to solve challenging technical problems
• Integrate advanced concepts, data, and information from multiple disciplines to develop effective approaches and methodologies
• Prepare and present technical reports, papers, proposals, briefings, and related documentation
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to staff members and project teams
• Support organizational growth by advancing technical expertise and capabilities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience leading technical teams and projects
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Research and development experience preferred

Required Qualifications

• TS/SCI clearance is required for this position. Candidates may start with an active Public Trust clearance or higher, provided they are eligible to obtain a TS/SCI.
• PhD in Engineering, Science, or Mathematics, and 7 years of relevant experience
