HukariAscendent is a Women-Owned, Small Business specializing in comprehensive engineering and technical support services associated with commercial nuclear power and other Department of Energy (DOE) nuclear activities.
Job Title: I&C Engineer
Duration: Long-Term
Location: Aiken, SC
Short Summary about Job:
Provide support engineering services to assigned Engineering Teams. Engineering support services include engineering analysis, walk downs, design development and generation of design output documents including but not limited to: P&IDs; Control Logics; Loop Diagrams; Instrument Indices; Setpoint Lists; Instrument and Control Valve Specifications; DCS and PLC Design; Instrument Location and Installation Design; Panel Layouts; and Vendor Document Review. Individual at times will be required to travel off Site to interface with vendors, fabricators and other Engineering organizations. Engineering services will be provided using established processes and procedures.
Required Qualifications
• BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, I&C Engineering, or current registration as a Professional Engineer in one of the above disciplines.
• Minimum five (5) years of design experience in the nuclear or process chemical industry.
• Demonstrated design experience with PLCs and distributed control systems.
• Ability to walk down systems in the field.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with 2D Microstation Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD).
Miscellaneous/Additional Information:
• Work Schedule: 40-hour work week. Various schedules available including 5/8s (8 hrs/day, 5 days/week), 4/10s (10 hrs/day, 4 days/week), and 9/80s (9 hrs/day on week A, 4 days on week B). Each work day includes a 30-minute lunch.
• Security Clearance: Not required.
