Data Engineer (Junior and Senior openings)
Overview
We are seeking Data Engineers at multiple experience levels to support a growing portfolio of data and analytics initiatives across complex, mission-driven environments. This role focuses on building scalable data solutions that enable advanced analytics, operational insights, and decision-making across large and diverse datasets.
This opportunity sits within a centralized data engineering and analytics capability, working closely with platform specialists and engineering teams to develop modern data pipelines, analytics workflows, and enterprise data platforms. Engineers will contribute to projects leveraging big data technologies, distributed systems, and emerging analytics tools.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines that ingest, process, and transform structured and unstructured data
Build and support analytics-ready datasets and data products for reporting, visualization, and advanced analytics
Develop and maintain data applications and workflows supporting enterprise-scale analytics and operational use cases
Work with large datasets using modern distributed data processing tools and frameworks
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver data-driven solutions
Translate business and mission requirements into scalable data architectures and technical solutions
Implement data validation, transformation, and quality processes to ensure reliability and consistency
Support development and integration of analytics platforms and data environments
Troubleshoot and resolve issues across data pipelines, ingestion processes, and processing environments
Participate in Agile development practices including sprint cycles, design discussions, and iterative delivery
Required Technical Skills
Experience with programming and data processing languages such as Python, SQL, R, or Scala
Experience developing and maintaining data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and workflow automation
Experience building or supporting data applications or analytics platforms in enterprise environments
Understanding of data modeling, data transformation, and data architecture principles
Experience working with large datasets and distributed processing concepts
Ability to operate effectively within collaborative, cross-functional engineering teams
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience working with modern data platforms used for integrating, transforming, and analyzing large datasets
Experience with distributed data technologies such as Spark, Databricks, Hadoop, Hive, or similar frameworks
Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Qlik, Tableau, or similar platforms
Experience supporting analytics, reporting, or machine learning workflows
Exposure to cloud-based data environments and modern platform architectures
Experience working in large-scale or regulated environments

Early-career experience supporting data engineering, analytics, or software development efforts
Exposure to data workflows, data processing, or analytics tools

Senior Level
