Software Engineer (C++)
Candidate must have a Secret security clearance and be willing to work in Huntsville, AL.
Program Description:
Our client is prime on a program that drives a cutting-edge initiative aimed at advancing missile defense capabilities. It focuses on developing next-generation interceptors capable of countering evolving threats from hostile adversaries. Led by a collaborative effort between government agencies and defense contractors, this program aims to enhance the reliability, speed, and precision of intercepting incoming threats. With a focus on innovation and adaptability, the program is poised to strengthen national security and protect against emerging missile threats.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
-Develop Embedded Software
-Integrate algorithms into C/C++ applications
-Plan, conduct, and coordinate software development activities
-Design, develop, document, test, and debug software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment.
-Apply knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software.
-Correct program errors, prepares operating instructions, compile documentation of program development, and analyze system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls.
Required Skills
- Experience with Flight Software Architecture for complex embedded systems (C++)
- Experience with VxWorks or Green Hill
- Experience, with Hardware/Software Integration
- Experience with Real time operating systems
- Experience working in a scrum/agile environment
- Experience in a Linux/DevOps Environment
