Job Title: RF Engineer (Level III) – Secret Clearance
Location: Littleton, CO
Type of Role: Direct Hire (Full-Time, Onsite)
Shift: 9x80 Schedule (Every other Friday off)
Pay: $113,000-$163,000
POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a motivated RF Engineer to support advanced space and defense programs across multiple phases of the RF product lifecycle. This role is responsible for RF system design, development, testing, and deployment of hardware supporting mission-critical applications. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in RF engineering principles, hands-on experience with RF hardware, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced engineering environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
• Support RF product lifecycle including design, development, testing, and deployment
• Participate in design reviews and provide input on RF systems and hardware designs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful development and deployment of RF systems and hardware
• Design, test, and troubleshoot RF hardware systems, including prototype and production hardware
• Perform RF analysis including cascaded analysis, gain/loss budgets, and system performance evaluation
• Utilize RF simulation tools to evaluate and optimize hardware designs
• Support testing and validation of RF systems and components
• Assist in development of RF components including amplifiers, filters, and antennas
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Basic Qualifications
• Active Secret security clearance required
• Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret clearance
• U.S. Citizenship required
• Experience designing active and passive RF hardware
• Understanding of RF circuit design (amplifiers, filters, antennas)
• Experience with RF simulation tools (ADS, AWR, SystemVue, CST, HFSS, or similar)
• RF testing and troubleshooting experience
• Experience with antenna theory and design
Additional Qualifications
• Familiarity with RF test software and tools
• Experience designing RF electronics and selecting RF components
• RF prototyping experience
• Experience with PCB/PWB design tools (Mentor Graphics Xpedition or similar)
• Strong understanding of RF test equipment (network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators)
• Knowledge of RF performance in flight environments (vibration, temperature, multipaction, corona)
• Experience with RF design including power amplifiers, microwave IC design, and measurement techniques
• Vendor interface experience including evaluation of vendor solutions
• Experience with vendor spec writing and procurement
• Experience with antenna testing in anechoic chambers
• Ability to work in cross-functional engineering teams
• Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret clearance
