Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team in Littleton, CO! By joining the Lockheed Martin Space Radio Frequency (RF) Talent Center (RFTC) team, you will contribute our mission supporting challenging programs related to Space Vehicles, Hypersonics, Human Space Flight and Interplanetary Missions, Missile Defense, and more.

As a Certified Principle Engineer (CPE), this role will have ownership for the success of a Digital Signal Payload. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to; support vendor development, internal design evaluation, testing, analysis, integration, and initialization of the payload. Review and ensure compliance with vendor and program requirements, support payload troubleshooting, and lead cross functional engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle.

In this Electrical engineering role within LM Space, you will:
• Support Global Security portfolios by conducting payload design, integration, and initialization on advanced Digital Signal payloads.
• Lead efforts in vendor support, systems engineering, analysis, calibration, and verification across a payload.
• Tackle complex challenges, demonstrating a deep understanding of your payload and mission to meet the needs of internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate closely with leaders and Subject Matter Experts to manage payload risks, opportunities, and related studies.
• Work with customers to ensure the success of payload products and milestones. Successful applicants will have experience working as a Certified Principle Engineer (CPE), Responsible Systems Engineer (RSE), or equivalent.

Basic Qualifications:
• Experience with space electronics and/or hardware design (e.g., RF payloads and/or subsystems)
• Experience in Digital Signal designs and hardware (e.g., Ethernet, SpaceWire, RS-422, LVDS, etc.)
• Experience in the design, development, and integration of space-rated flight hardware
• Active Top Secret clearance; must be able to obtain a TS/SCI w/Poly clearance
Desired Skills:
• Proven ability to execute major milestone reviews (e.g. SRR, PDR, CDR, etc.)
• Experience leading small technical teams across design lifecycle to produce artifacts to meet technical specifications
• Experience with successful execution of digital signal payload/subsystem performance and test plans
• Experience with initialization and calibration of digital signal payloads
• Experience reviewing and analyzing Statements of Work (SOWs), Interface Control Documents (ICDs), and technical data sheets
• Experience leading and working with subcontracts, software, analysis, test, integration groups on a payload
• Experience with environmental testing (stress, thermal, EMI/EMC, etc.)
• Experience executing end-to-end performance and functionality of payloads and/or subsystems, consistent with mission needs and CONOPS
• Experience reviewing supplier/factory data results to show compliance to engineering requirements
• Proficiency with the development of specifications for digitally processed payloads
• Experience with certifying and selling off a payload or subsystem to the customer
• Team player with the demonstrated ability to participate in cross functional teams and communicate and coordinate work as one team with common goals
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with customers, suppliers, management, and peers
• Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Active TS/SCI w/Poly clearance

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $85,500 - $150,765. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
