Description:This position within the LM Space Capture Excellence organization is charged with leading all training and development initiatives for the LM Space Strategy & Business Development organization. This role is critical to the LM Space strategy to improve the skills and capability of cross-functional capture teams, to increase capture team efficiency, to raise the pWin of individual pursuits as well as to develop the bench of future S&BD and capture senior leaders. The Capture Excellence lead will also focus on integrating with cross functional Business Area teams to lead discussions around 1lMX improvement plans, lead the Capture Community of Practice, development of the Capture Comet publication and provide capture process guidance in accordance with our processes/procedures.
Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
• Establish a Capture Development Resource/Program that will assist in training, mentoring, and building the bench of qualified capture personnel (Staff to Win).
• Launch the Capture Development Resource/Program in 2025 and implement a comprehensive roll-out plan.
• Partner with Capture Excellence leadership across LM to develop/support Capture Community of Practice that will promote best practice sharing across lines of business and serve as a conduit for 1LM resources and lessons learned.
• Develop competency models, skills assessments and on/off roadmaps for cross-functional capture leadership positions.
• Partner with capture leaders to assess capture team training needs and to develop individualized learning plans.
• Champion NextGen training delivery tools, techniques, methods and philosophies.
• Expand the breadth and depth of relevant on-demand training available across the enterprise.
• Implement a record-keeping system and metrics for training delivered
• Serve as the capture training coordination POC
• As needed, direct the evaluation and oversight of contractors or vendors to develop and/or administer training programs.
• Manage the Training & Development budget.
• Leading / facilitating customer value workshops, strategy reviews, decision mapping sessions and win strategy development for surge support and as needed
• Supporting the capture manager in the development of the initial capture plan as needed
• Continually assessing the effectiveness of the capture process and best practice guides. Owns and maintains the capture process and best practice capture guides.
• Interfacing with executive level management on capture findings and recommendations
• Leads and/or supports Corporate wide capture process / best practice initiatives
Basic Qualifications:
Experience leading multiple captures
Experience working independently
Experience in continuous process improvement
Knowledge of LM best practices for capturing and sustaining business.
Well-developed analytical, verbal and written communications skills.
Experience developing and delivering high-quality executive level presentations.
Demonstrated excellence in presentation skills, both live and virtual delivery.
Desired Skills:
Deep understanding of the Win Plan and direct experience working with Capture teams.
Experience leading high visibility, high urgency projects in a rapidly evolving work environment.
Demonstrated self-starter, able to anticipate needs of senior executives and complete multiple tasks in time-sensitive environments with minimal direction.
Experience developing and implementing talent development strategies.
Experience leading complex, large dollar pursuits/captures.
Experience developing and rolling-out training programs for functions/organizations
Experience delivering training in a variety of formats.
Bachelors degree in relevant field.

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $128,400 - $226,435. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
