Description:About the Role:
This position is for a Chief Engineering Senior Manager for the Air-launched Rapid Response Weapon (ARRW) Low-Rate Initial Production contract. The successful candidate will report to the ARRW portfolio chief engineer programmatically and be expected to work closely with the other members of the ARRW chief engineering staff to ensure synergy across tasks and to communicate lessons learned, as well as with the ARRW customer community and the broader ADSW Line of Business.
What You Will Be Doing:
As the ARRW Production Chief Engineer, you will be responsible for:
• Providing technical leadership that enables the team to meet all ARRW production milestones on schedule
• Developing and nurturing a productive partnership with the USG customer, the LM partners at LM Aero and LM Space, and the global supply base
• Guiding IPT leads and cross-functional teams in program planning, scheduling, execution of production start-up activities, and critical life cycle reviews
• Ensuring program staffing is appropriate from an E&T perspective
• Collaborating with Engineering Excellence management to ensure program milestones are successfully completed
• Supporting and leading program technical reviews and participating in monthly E&T meetings, staff meetings, and other critical program activities
• Communicating lessons learned and ensuring synergy across tasks with the entire Chief Engineer staff
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide end to end technical leadership for ARRW production
• Provide technical leadership for production start-up activities
• Lead or support customer briefings, weekly IPT status updates, Technical Interchange Meetings, Technical Readiness Reviews, Physical Configuration Audits, Production Readiness Reviews, and other critical program reviews
• Participate in Failure Review Boards, Risk Management, and Mission Success Reviews
• Support technical reviews internally, with the customer, and external stakeholders, and at supplier locations
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you must:
• Have technical expertise in hypersonic boost-glide weapon systems
• Have demonstrated experience in planning and leading technical solutions from proposal through development and into production
• Demonstrate excellent leadership skills and a proven ability to lead technical efforts with cross-functional teams
• Possess experience and initiative to ensure technical leadership and support for the development and production process
• Show a strong understanding of Full Spectrum Leadership principles (technical, people, business, strategic).
• Have excellent oral and written communication skills

Basic Qualifications:
• Have a minimum of a degree in engineering or engineering management from an accredited college or university, with existing professional experience
• Experience and demonstrated skillset with hypersonic boost-glide weapon systems
• Ability to communicate technical status and issues internally to program leadership, technical leadership and functional leadership as well as externally to the USG customer
• Must be available for domestic travel
• Secret clearance with investigation or CV date within 5 years
Desired Skills:
• An advanced degree in engineering or engineering management from an accredited college or university is desired
• Prior experience at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control is highly desired
• Prior experience working on the ARRW program is desired
• Working knowledge of dealing with subcontractors and subcontract technical management is a plus
• Candidate should have wide experience/familiarity in collaborating with the Engineering & Technology functional organization
• Ability to interface with the USG Customer office and global supply base
• Ability to support technical reviews internally, with the customer, and external stakeholders, and at supplier locations
• Experience in leading Failure Analysis and Failure Review Boards
