Job Description
We are currently looking for a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer (CND) who specializes in Computer Network Defense (CND) to provide guidance to the Cybersecurity Lead in protecting, detecting, characterizing, countering, and mitigating unauthorized activity and vulnerabilities on Department of War (DOW) information networks and systems.
This role requires five days a week on-site in Kuwait

This role requires five days a week on-site in Kuwait
Responsibilities:
- Monitors and analyzes operational, intelligence, and historical incident information for reporting and recommendation purposes.
- Monitors and queries SIEM solution(s) for anomalous activity and exporting data relevant to protecting the systems and the mission.
- Provides rapid correlation, analysis, and dissemination of information and intelligence through the fusion of all-source Intelligence resources and relay indications and warnings of pending, possible, or actual attack(s) or compromise(s) to the appropriate government leadership.
- Fuses, correlates, and analyzes information and intelligence to provide indications and warnings of pending, possible, or actual attack(s) or compromise(s) to the DOW GIG or enclaves, network devices, and/or systems within the USARCENT purview.
- Conducts vulnerability scans of IT assets.
- Apply knowledge of monitoring, analyzing, detecting, and responding to Cyber events and incidents within information systems and networks.
- Advise on an integrated, dynamic Cyber defense and leverage Cybersecurity solutions to deliver Cybersecurity operational services, including intrusion detection and prevention, situational awareness of network intrusions, security events, and data spillage, and incident response actions.
- Assesses IT assets for cybersecurity compliance in accordance with DISA STIGs requirements.
- Develops POA&Ms to track any overdue vulnerabilities or STIG deviations.
- Reviews and investigates security alerts and incidents from Microsoft 365 Defender.
- Works with other NEC/NOC Operations team members remediate, or mitigate security vulnerabilities.
- Reviews the latest Cybersecurity intelligence information and provides recommendations to improve the Cybersecurity posture.
Requirments:
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- BA/BS degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field (or 10+ years of experience in IT).
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a computer system or DOW Security experience.
- Must meet 8140 DoD Cyberspace Workforce Advanced Proficiency Level requirements.
- Prior experience as a Cyber Security Analyst in DoD or Federal government.
- Experience analyzing log files, firewall logs, and IDS Logs to identify possible threats to network security, and to perform command and control functions in response to incidents.
- Experience in Army Endpoint Security Systems (AESS), and ACAS vulnerability scanning software, knowledge of and experience with Security Information and Events Manager (SIEM) analysis and administration, as well as Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.
