In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.
You must be an individual who have obtained a qualifying Associates, Bachelor's, Master's, Professional, Doctorate, Vocational or Technical degree or certificate from a qualifying educational institution, within the previous 2 years.
OR
A veteran (as defined in 5 U.S.C. 2108) who was unable to apply within 2 years of obtaining a qualifying Associates, Bachelor's, Master's, Professional, Doctorate, Vocational or Technical degree or certificate from a qualifying educational institution due to their military service obligation. Veterans have a full 2-year eligibility period to apply upon his/her release or discharge from active duty. The eligibility period for veterans must be within 6 years of degree completion. You MUST provide your DD-214 to support this claim.
In addition to meeting the Eligibility requirement above, your resume must demonstrate the following Qualifying Experience:

- As a participant in the Recent Graduates Program, you will receive both formal and on-the-job training to develop the required knowledge and skill to successfully perform the duties of the position.
- Assist with long-range planning for DISA programs by helping to track, organize, and coordinate mission resources.
- Utilize word processing, graphics, and desktop publishing tools to help draft, format, and finalize professional documents and presentations.
- Analyze administrative and technical programs to learn how we measure efficiency and support our core mission requirements.
- Participate in organizational studies and surveys, gaining real-world experience in analyzing data and drafting actionable recommendations.

- For the GG-07, qualifying experience is defined as: Analyzing findings and making recommendations to various levels of management.
- For the GG-09, qualifying experience is defined as: Planning, tracking and coordinating programs or coordinating resources related to assigned programs.

Education
- Substitution of education for experience at the 05 grade level: Completion of all requirements for a bachelor's degree or equivalent degree in a directly related field.
- Substitution of education for experience at the 07 grade level: Bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement or 1 academic year of graduate education (or law school, as specified in qualification standards or individual occupational requirements). Superior Academic Achievement: S.A.A. is based on (1) class standing, (2) grade-point average, or (3) honor society membership.
- Substitution of education for experience at the 09 grade level: Completion of a Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D.
- Qualifying Education Institution: Any of the following educational institutions or curricula that have been accredited by an accrediting body recognized by the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Education
- Foreign Education: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show that the education credentials have been evaluated by the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services at the time of application. .

- A three trial period may be required if you have not previously completed a trial or probationary period in the excepted or competitive service.
- CES Interns are NOT eligible for conversion to a career/career-conditional appointment.
- CES Interns are eligible for non-competitive conversion to a term or permanent CES position in a CES designated organization
