Position Overview

PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking a skilled Electronics Technician to support production and testing operations in Clearwater, FL. This role is ideal for candidates with hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing electronic assemblies, particularly those with military back-shop experience working on circuit cards, subassemblies, or Line Replaceable Units (LRUs).

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate test equipment to evaluate electronic circuit card assemblies, RF circuits, and subassemblies
• Perform testing in accordance with established procedures, standards, and specifications
• Troubleshoot and repair electronic assemblies to the component level
• Interpret schematic diagrams to isolate faults in analog and digital circuitry
• Adjust, calibrate, and maintain electronic test systems
• Analyze test results and recommend improvements to products or processes
• Assist engineers in developing test procedures for new products
• Use tools such as digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, and signal generators
• Maintain accurate documentation using Microsoft Office and data tracking systems
• Support quality assurance processes and continuous improvement efforts

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience testing electronic assemblies
• Strong skills in component-level troubleshooting (solid state and digital circuits)
• Ability to read and interpret schematics
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data entry/documentation tools
• Experience using flying probe or in-circuit testing equipment
• Candidates must be able to read and write in English and thrive in a fast-paced production environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Military 'back-shop' experience repairing LRUs, circuit cards, or subassemblies
• Familiarity with radar systems and RF circuit troubleshooting
• Experience with vibration and thermal ESS testing
• Knowledge of solid-state devices and microcircuitry

Education Requirements

• High School Diploma (or equivalent) required
• Additional technical training equivalent to an Associate degree preferred
