Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented AEGIS Based Defense Aegis System Equipped Vessel Senior Systems Engineer to join our team! In this role you will y ou will be part of a t alented and mission oriented professional team of federal engineers, active-duty Naval Officers and Contract staff who are willing to roll up their sleeves and get missile defense capability out to the Fleet.

Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented AEGIS Based Defense Aegis System Equipped Vessel Senior Systems Engineer to join our team! In this role you will y ou will be part of a t alented and mission oriented professional team of federal engineers, active-duty Naval Officers and Contract staff who are willing to roll up their sleeves and get missile defense capability out to the Fleet.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Minimum of three years supporting new construction shipbuilding programs, with proven project management experience.
- Strong understanding of USN ship installation requirements and processes.
- The successful candidate will ensure the accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of engineering documentation (requirements, design modifications, etc.) and support vessel construction, commissioning, testing, and final handover.
- Prepare and present platform product status updates, reports, and technical briefings to stakeholders and Foreign Military Sale (FMS) customer.
- Rapidly assess the scope of construction-impacting technical issues and expedite communication (data and information) of the issue appropriate cognizant SME and program office representative to drive resolution.
- Clearly and concisely communicate the scope, status, and potential impact of the technical issue to ensure construction schedule impacts are understood by the MDA and Japan shipbuilder teams.
- Identify areas that slow down or do not support acceleration of approvals of technical issues and resolutions.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- US Citizenship with Active Secret Clearance
- Master's Degree STEM
- 12+ years of experience
- Mastery of MS Office suite and familiarity with collaborative tools such as Jira, Confluence or Teams
- Aegis Weapon System Experience
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
- Active TS/SCI Clearance
- Prior experience with Weapons Systems Deployment
- Experience with Missile Systems Engineering
- Technical experience in one of the following areas: Fleet operations, systems engineering, missile systems, Aegis Qualifications, etc.
