Job Description

The CSfC Systems / Network Solutions Engineer would assist and support with the development, configuration, testing, and evaluation of Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) solutions used to secure government customers' classified data and networks. The Engineer will work individually and as a member of a team to configure network, software, and hardware networking components and security appliances and applications to meet DoD requirements and support their installation and initialization onsite in the customers' environments.

This is Position requires on-site 5 days a week in Sumter, SC
  • Architect, design, implement, and support NSA Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) compliant solutions that meet NSA, DoD, and customer mission requirements.
  • Design, develop, integrate, test, and maintain secure communications networks and supporting infrastructure.
  • Configure and manage network, software, and hardware components in accordance with NSA CSfC Capability Packages, NIAP requirements, and DoD security standards.
  • Configure and support Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) environments, including Certificate Authorities and certificate lifecycle management using technologies such as ISC CertAgent, Microsoft Windows Server Certificate Services, and Red Hat Certificate Systems.
  • Configure, integrate, and troubleshoot firewalls, VPN gateways, IDS/IPS platforms, wireless controllers, and related security appliances from vendors including Aruba, Cisco and Palo Alto.
  • Perform systems integration and interoperability testing for secure network solutions and customer environments.
  • Author and maintain Engineering Design Packages (EDPs), implementation plans, configuration guides, test procedures, test reports, and customer training materials.
  • Provide onsite installation, integration, operational support, and customer training for both technical and non-technical users.
  • Serve as a Tier 2/Tier 3 escalation resource during service outages and operational incidents.
  • Collaborate effectively with engineering, operations, cybersecurity, and project management teams to deliver approved infrastructure solutions.
  • Interface directly with customers, vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders to support solution delivery and operational success.
  • Identify and recommend hardware, software, and support solutions through research, analysis, and evaluation of emerging technologies.
  • Manage vendors and contractors during implementation and deployment activities.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, adaptability, and a customer-focused mindset while supporting mission-critical environments.
  • Contribute positively within a team-oriented environment while also maintaining the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Perform special projects and additional duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications:
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
  • Must have an active Security+ or Higher
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience supporting secure network engineering environments.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience working with network security technologies in enterprise, government, or service provider environments.
  • Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, and supporting Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) architectures and solutions.
  • Experience with commercial Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), certificate management, and modern encryption technologies.
  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting routers, switches, firewalls, VPN gateways, and related network security appliances.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, routing, switching, VPN technologies, and commonly used ports and protocols.
  • Ability to develop, review, and maintain technical documentation, configuration guides, and customer-facing training materials.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment while also operating independently when required.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain professionalism in high-pressure environments.

Preferred Qualifications/Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering degree or Information Systems degree. Experience can be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • Professional-level certification in one or more of the following technologies:
    • Cisco
    • Aruba
    • Palo Alto
