Type of Role: Direct Hire (Full-Time, Onsite)
Shift: 9x80 Schedule (Every other Friday off)

POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking an Electronics Engineer III to support the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Program, focused on the design and development of Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) and automated test systems for the U.S. Navy’s Ballistic Missile Flight Test Program. This role centers on hardware development for electrical and electromechanical test systems, including requirements analysis, interconnect design, automated test equipment (ATE) development, and full life-cycle support from concept through deployment and retirement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical hardware design and test, automated test systems, and project leadership in a fast-paced aerospace and defense environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Participate in requirements analysis, configuration determination, design, modifications, material procurement, manufacturing, test, and acceptance for a wide variety of electrical and electromechanical test systems and integrated EGSE

Lead the design, procurement, assembly, test, and verification of automated test systems, including data review and performance trending

Develop hardware requirements for locally assigned support equipment test systems, from subsystem level through integrated test equipment

Design interconnects and related hardware to support EGSE and test system architectures

Interface with suppliers, customers, and internal design teams to provide cost-effective, low-risk solutions that meet technical and schedule requirements

Develop test system design documentation to communicate proposed designs to internal engineering, business teams, vendors, and customers

Create and maintain project and process documentation aligned to project requirements and program standards

Support Failure Review Board (FRB) activities as required, including troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and corrective action closure

Mentor junior engineers and interface extensively with customers and senior leadership, providing technical guidance and status updates

Support the full product life cycle of EGSE and test systems, including development, deployment, sustainment, and retirement activities

Travel occasionally (less than 25%) to alternate work sites, customer locations, or test facilities as required

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience

3+ years of professional experience in hardware development and electrical/electromechanical systems design

Strong technical background with Automated Test Equipment (ATE) or similar test systems

Experience with interconnect design for electrical or electromechanical systems

Experience with one or more of the following tools: Creo, Windchill, Zuken, PSPICE (or similar ECAD/CAE tools)

Experience leading project teams and development efforts, with demonstrated ability to work autonomously and drive tasks to closure

Experience across the product life cycle (development, deployment, sustainment, and retirement)

Experience with issue tracking tools and processes

Ability and willingness to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret security clearance

U.S. Citizenship required for security clearance eligibility

Additional Qualifications

Capability to lead a team responsible for development and test of integrated test systems; experience as a Subject Matter Engineer or equivalent

Experience with telemetry data processing (TDP) and working with RF hardware or systems

Experience reading and interpreting schematic diagrams and other technical documentation

Experience troubleshooting system-level issues in complex electrical or test systems

Demonstrated ability to coordinate and lead small, diverse teams in the development of technical products

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical information to customers, leadership, and cross-functional teams

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment

Security Clearance Requirement

Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance is required
