Location: Huntsville, AL / Littleton, CO / Sunnyvale, CA
Type of Role: Direct Hire (Full-Time, Onsite)
Shift: 9x80 Schedule (Every other Friday off)
Pay: $76,500 – $134,895/year
(Major metro CA/MA/NY range: $88,000 – $152,490/year)

POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a Software Engineer to support the Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) program developing advanced missile defense technologies within a highly classified aerospace and defense environment. This role is responsible for supporting the full software engineering lifecycle including requirements analysis, object-oriented design, software development, integration, and formal testing activities supporting mission-critical missile defense systems. The ideal candidate has experience with C/C++ programming, embedded software/hardware environments, and collaborative Agile software development supporting advanced aerospace and national security initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
• Support the software engineering lifecycle following the program Software Development Plan (SDP)
• Perform software requirements analysis and object-oriented software analysis and design activities
• Develop, test, integrate, and support software solutions for advanced missile defense systems
• Support code development, unit testing, integration, and formal software test and delivery activities
• Develop software utilizing programming languages such as C and C++
• Support embedded software and hardware development activities within mission-critical aerospace systems
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams within Agile software development environments
• Participate in software architecture, integration, and system testing efforts
• Support software development activities aligned with mission and customer requirements
• Contribute to highly collaborative engineering teams supporting national security and missile defense programs
• Support Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) activities where applicable
• Communicate effectively with engineering teams and stakeholders across dynamic engineering environments

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Basic Qualifications
• Experience utilizing programming languages such as C and/or C++
• Experience or academic knowledge supporting embedded software and hardware environments
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or related technical discipline
• Active or Final Secret Security Clearance required
• U.S. Citizenship required
Additional Qualifications
• Knowledge of Agile Software Development methodologies
• Ability to work effectively within collaborative, team-based engineering environments
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies
• Experience designing software solutions to defined software requirements
• Experience supporting full software lifecycle development including software design, architecture, integration, and testing activities
• Experience supporting aerospace, missile defense, or national security software programs preferred
