Amazon Web Services (AWS) is leading the next paradigm shift in computing and the AWS Global Government Delivery Organization (GGDO) team is looking for a motivated Principal Technologist to join our fast-paced organization. The GDDO, manages direct Global Government programs as part of the Worldwide Public Sector business. In this role you will work directly with customers, partners, and AWS service teams to manage technical and business integration challenges in support of US Department of Defense (DoD) Intelligence Community (IC), and other Government programs that rely on the AWS Cloud.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud computing; possess a background in partner and business development; and have proven results within the Intelligence Community (IC) program management space. They will also have demonstrated the ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the skill-set to dive deep and tactically drive business development programs. Excellent communications skills are a must. Candidates are expected to have the ability to write and convey compelling customer value propositions and articulate technical risks, as well as to interface with AWS business units responsible for delivering capabilities to customers. Through your work across AWS, you will be responsible for driving program compliance, customer and partner onboarding, and overall adoption of AWS within IC programs. You must bring an established understanding of these respective community infrastructures, policies, and operational performance requirements.

Key job responsibilities
As a Principal Technologist in AWS FDO, you will:
- Liaise with AWS service teams to ensure that AWS meets technical commitments to customers in named programs.
- Interface with Capture, Sales, and Solutions Architecture teams to provide technical depth to partnership discussions and capture/pursuit decisions.
- Coordinate a matrixed team drawn from the Federal business verticals in support of specific programs.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop the long-term strategy for AWS to deliver in the Federal program space, including global infrastructure, feature and service deployment, and go-to-market approach.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 10+ years of technical product or program management experience
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience in managing cloud computing requirements in US Federal direct contracts, including experience with FedRAMP, DOD SRG, ICD 503, and other compliance/security regimes

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
