Job Description
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the design, development, integration, and testing of custom test systems and electronic hardware solutions. This role offers a mix of hands-on engineering, prototyping, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration in a technical manufacturing and test environment.
Key Responsibilities
Test System Design
Support the design and development of test systems and custom circuit boards
Assist with electrical system integration and troubleshooting activities
Design & Documentation
Create and maintain electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and related engineering documentation
Develop bills of materials (BOMs), user manuals, test procedures, and as-built configuration documentation
Prototyping & Hardware Development
Set up, test, and validate prototype hardware
Recommend electrical and mechanical design improvements
Support custom hardware and PCB development efforts
Assembly & Manufacturing Support
Create work instructions and provide assembly guidance to technicians
Perform assembly inspections and support production activities as needed
Integration & Testing
Perform system integration and validate system performance against design requirements
Troubleshoot hardware and test system issues and recommend corrective actions
Required Qualifications
3+ years of relevant engineering experience
U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain a Security Clearance
Willingness to travel approximately once per month
Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and SharePoint
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with 3D CAD/design tools such as SOLIDWORKS
Experience with PCB design software such as Autodesk EAGLE
Experience with Python scripting and/or MATLAB
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field
Prior experience working in a test, manufacturing, aerospace, or defense environment
Required Skills
Experience using electronic test equipment
Ability to solder and rework printed circuit boards
Ability to use general-purpose hand and power tools
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative engineering environment
