Job Title: Software Engineer Staff – Top Secret Clearance Required to Start
Location: King of Prussia, PA
Type of Role: Direct Hire (Full-Time, Onsite)
Shift: 9x80 Schedule (Every other Friday off)
Pay: Depending on experience
POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer Staff to support advanced space security and mission protection programs within a highly classified aerospace and defense environment. This role is responsible for supporting Agile software development efforts focused on protecting space assets and mission-critical systems. The ideal candidate has strong experience with modern software development practices, cloud technologies, Agile execution, and collaborative engineering within high-security environments supporting national security space initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
• Support Agile software development efforts across advanced space security and mission protection programs
• Collaborate with software developers, contractors, customers, and subject matter experts within highly integrated engineering teams
• Develop and maintain mission-critical applications across multiple classification domains
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily scrums, demos, and retrospectives
• Support full software development lifecycle activities including architecture, development, integration, deployment, and testing
• Develop modern software solutions using programming and scripting languages such as Java, JavaScript, C#, Python, or related technologies
• Support cloud-based application development and deployment activities
• Work within DevOps and CI/CD pipeline environments supporting automated deployments and configuration management
• Support application containerization efforts using technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, or related tools
• Collaborate across cross-functional engineering teams supporting mission execution and technical problem solving
• Demonstrate developed software capabilities to internal and external stakeholders
• Support continuous process improvement and Agile best practices within engineering teams
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Basic Qualifications
• Experience with software development using programming and scripting languages such as Java, JavaScript, C#, Python, or similar technologies
• Experience working within Agile development environments utilizing tools such as Jira and Confluence
• Active Top Secret Clearance required
• Ability to obtain and maintain SCI clearance eligibility
• U.S. Citizenship required
Additional Qualifications
• Experience with application containerization technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, or related tools
• Experience supporting cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, OpenStack, or OpenShift
• Experience with frameworks such as .NET Core, Angular, or similar technologies
• Experience supporting GitLab CI/CD deployment pipelines, automated build systems, and configuration management tools
• Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL and Redis
• Knowledge of modern software technology stacks including microservices, APIs, DevOps, and cloud-native architectures
• Experience working within highly collaborative Agile engineering teams supporting classified programs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate effectively across engineering organizations
• Ability to work onsite full-time within a highly dynamic aerospace and defense environment
