Northrop Grumman is seeking a visionary Chief Product Owner (CPO) to lead the product vision, strategy, and execution across our portfolio of digital solutions. The ideal candidate will combine deep product expertise with strong leadership, stakeholder management, and a data-driven mindset to deliver exceptional value to customers and drive business growth. The CPO position requires a strategic leader responsible for defining, prioritizing, and delivering the product portfolio that drives the organization's business objectives. The CPO works closely with executive leadership, development teams, customers, and market stakeholders to ensure that product decisions are data-driven, customer-centric, and aligned with the company's vision.
Product Vision & Strategy - Craft and communicate a compelling product vision; translate corporate goals into a multi-year product roadmap.
Portfolio Management - Own the full product portfolio, balancing new development, enhancements, and sunsetting of legacy offerings.
Risk & Issue Management - Identify potential risks early, develop mitigation plans, and drive resolution across functional teams.
Backlog Governance - Prioritize the enterprise backlog across all product lines, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and value delivery.
Stakeholder Alignment - Engage executives, sales, marketing, legal, finance, and customers to gather input, resolve conflicts, and secure buy-in for product decisions. Leverage analytics and user feedback to continuously iterate and improve product experiences.
Delivery Oversight - Partner with Scrum of Scrums, Release Train Engineers, and Agile Release Trains to guarantee timely, high-quality releases.
Metrics & ROI - Define success metrics (e.g., NPS, ARR, churn, time-to-market); track product performance and adjust strategy based on outcomes.
The lead candidate will be a strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial mindset. Will have the ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments. This candidate will possess a passion for user-centric design and delivering delightful experiences. And must have strong negotiation and conflict-resolution skills.

Primary Level Salary Range: $177,000.00 - $265,600.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

Basic Qualifications:
- (Level 5): Bachelor's degree in Science with 12+ years of relevant experience; Master's degree in Science with 10+ years of relevant experience; 4 additional years of relative experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Candidate must have active/current Top Secret clearance and SCI eligibility at time of application.
- Experience scaling products globally or across multiple markets.
- Must have an established understanding of the Java Programming Language to support design and implementation.
- Must have a good understanding of Git to support releases, patching, pipeline, developer support, etc.)
- Kubernetes/Helm expertise (Required for support of deployments, environment support, and IT&D integration, etc.)
- Must have a good understanding of Databases (Experience with one of the following: Elastic, Mongo, MySQL)
- Experience working directly with the Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Configuration Managements, Integration Test and Development teams

- Solid writing skills and use of Wiki pages and Sharepoint sites for documentation
