The Work
Lockheed Martin is seeking a motivated engineering professional to support the Platform System Integration Engineering team based in Mt. Laurel, NJ, with work performed in Virginia Beach.
In this role, you will:
Develop key test planning products utilized by waterfront test teams conducting system tests of the AEGIS Combat System.
Support test programs for both U.S. Navy and international customers.
Provide engineering support to waterfront test teams during ship availability and test execution activities.
Participate in working groups focused on defining and improving waterfront test programs.
Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful integration and testing efforts.
Support occasional domestic and international travel as required.

This position requires the ability to travel domestically and internationally as required by the supported program.
This position requires the obtain and maintain a Secret DoD clearance, which requires US Citizenship.
This position is based out of Virginia Beach, VA.

Basic Qualifications:
-Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or equivalent/related field.
- 1+ years professional experience in engineering field.
-Experience with at least one team-based project showing skills in teamwork, technical writing, and presenting.
-Availability to travel domestically and internationally as required by the supported program.
-Ability to attain and maintain a Secret DoD clearance, which requires US Citizenship.
Desired Skills:
-Knowledge of system engineering processes and test planning methodologies.
-Ability to balance time against multiple assignments and due dates.
-Detailed technical knowledge of the physical and functional characteristics of the Aegis Weapons System elements.
-Proficient in the use/working knowledge of DOORS, WBS Schedule Pro, MS Office.

Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
