Job Title: Electronics Engineer II
Location: Hill Air Force Base – Ogden, UT
Type of Role: Direct Hire (Full-Time, Onsite)
Shift: 9x80 Schedule (Every other Friday off)
POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking an Electronics Engineer II to support the AF Minuteman III Depot and Field Maintenance Support Team within a highly advanced aerospace and defense environment. This role will focus on supporting depot and field operations related to Minuteman III reentry systems and associated field support equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong troubleshooting and fault isolation capabilities, the ability to work within highly regulated defense environments, and the flexibility to support technical maintenance and engineering activities in both depot and operational field settings. This is a hands-on engineering role supporting critical national defense systems within a fast-paced aerospace and defense environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
• Support field maintenance and depot operations for Minuteman III reentry systems and associated support equipment
• Assist with routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and fault isolation activities
• Ensure proper engineering disciplines and procedures are followed during maintenance and support operations
• Develop solutions to technical problems of moderate scope and complexity
• Complete engineering assignments requiring judgment, discretion, and independent decision making
• Work closely with immediate engineering team members and support personnel
• Support technical evaluations and corrective actions related to field support equipment performance
• Engage with government counterparts and technical teams to resolve operational issues
• Maintain strong organizational discipline while supporting multiple priorities and deadlines
• Contribute to operational readiness and sustainment of critical defense systems
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Basic Qualifications
• Strong understanding of or ability to quickly learn Minuteman III Reentry System Depot and Field Support Equipment
• Troubleshooting and fault isolation experience required
• Minimum 1+ years of professional engineering experience
• Active Interim Secret Clearance or higher preferred
• U.S. Citizenship required for security clearance eligibility
• Ability to work onsite full-time at Hill Air Force Base in Ogden, UT
Additional Qualifications
• Experience supporting Weapon Storage Areas at Minuteman III operational wings and/or AF MMIII Depot preferred
• Ability to collaborate with engineering teams and government counterparts on technical problem resolution
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated organizational, multi-tasking, and decision-making abilities
• Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines in dynamic environments
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
• Experience within aerospace, defense, depot maintenance, or military systems environments preferred
Security Clearance Requirement
• Active DOD Interim Secret Clearance or higher preferred
• This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance
• U.S. Citizenship required for consideration
