Job Description

Duties

  • Operates variety office automation equipment to store and produce documents for organization.
  • Prepare reports of findings for inventory discrepancies.
  • Performs a variety of supply support functions for the ammunition inventory management system.
  • Provide technical assistance relating to inventory management procedures.
  • Researches historical data to improve inventory management functions for the organization.
  • Perform detailed analysis of all depot transaction records.
  • Develop recommendations that will improve the quality of work in inventory transactions.


Requirements

Conditions of employment
  • The incumbent is required to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance while occupying the position.
  • Incumbent must be cleared IAW requirements of AR 190-11, Physical Security of Arms, Ammunition and Explosives (AA E).
  • This position is subject to the Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968 which makes it a felony for anyone who has been convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence to ship, transport, possess, or receive firearms or ammunition.
  • This position is covered by the Civilian Drug Abuse Testing Program governed by AR 600-85. The Army Substance Abuse Program. Incumbent is subject to random drug testing.
  • Incumbent is required to sign a DA Form 5019, Condition of Employment for certain civilian positions identified as critical under the Department of the Army Drug Free Federal Workplace Program.
  • This position requires the incumbent to meet the requirements of AMCR 350-4, Training and Certification Program of personnel working in ammunition operations.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes referencing supply regulations, policies, and/or procedures to provide supply support to operations; using automated supply systems to prepare supply documents; monitoring stock data into various systems; ensuring shipping documents are complete. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service.

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
