PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking an FAA Senior Aviation/Aerospace Product Acceptance Specialist , in Victorville, CA. Job ID#215124
Pay Rate: $42 - $47/hr
Job Description:
Verifies product conformance to design requirements. Provides objective evidence of results. Validates work instructions, tooling requirements, certifications, process standards, policies and procedures. Identifies and documents discrepancies and segregates and controls non-conforming items. Performs in process inspections of aircraft maintenance. Performs preliminary review and disposition of non-conformance. Conducts product review with customer during product or process verification. Identifies repetitive or significant non-conformances and initiates requests for corrective action.
Position Responsibility:
* Understand and use approved technical specifications, sketches, manuals, drawings, engineering instructions, including FAA forms and publications to accomplish work assignments.
* Maintain proficiency in the use of various inspection aids.
* Ensure work is in accordance with FAA approved/accepted documents [e.g., engineering drawings, Component Maintenance Manual (CMM), and FAA approved SBs.
* Ensure compliance with standard practices and requirements (e.g., torque, bonding, safety wiring, and sealing).
* Ensure all parts installed are new or serviceable and have appropriate documentation (e.g., FAA Form 8130-3 or equivalent).
Required Skills:
* Familiar with Aircraft Repair Station operations. Ability to understand engineering drawings.
* Ability to use precision measuring tools.
* Competent in Microsoft Suite (excel, word, access, powerpoint).
* Ability to read, write, and speak English.
Preferred Skills:
* A&P Certificate, AS9100 training, 787 General Familiarization Course.
Education / Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years' related work, Bachelor, etc.).
