Position Summary
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a first level supervisor, providing planning. Directing, organizing, and exercising control over nonsupervisory employees assigned to USAFE-AFAFRICA Warrior Preparation Center Mission Support Directorate. Also serve as Senior Logistics consultant in the Warrior Preparation Center (WPC) with responsibility for planning, maintaining, coordinating controlling, and managing all exercise related base support logistics issues and ensuring internal support to the organization is being met through supply, transportation, and maintenance engineering.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-11, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience include: Knowledge of a wide range of federal and agency logistics concepts, principles, practices, procedures, and regulations applicable to a full range of logistics management to include cargo and passenger movement, supply chain management, equipment and vehicle management, and logistic plans under peacetime and wartime conditions to develop and recommend policies and procedures for the organization.
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-11 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-12 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of a wide range of federal and agency logistics concepts, principles, practices, procedures, and regulations applicable to a full range of logistics management to include cargo and passenger movement, supply chain management, equipment and vehicle management, and logistic plans under peacetime and wartime conditions to develop and recommend policies and procedures for the organization. Skill in applying analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to issue or studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of program operations. Ability to develop and analyze date to determine logistic objectives and goals, identify support requirements (including funding, contract development, and other technical support requirements), and establish relationships between the participants involved in deploying the plan. Skill in analyzing issues and formulating solutions to complex problems. Ability to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations of subordinate installations/organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources. Ability to communicate, both orally and I writing, clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy. Knowledge in civilian personnel management procedures, regulations, and guidelines.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Position Summary

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of Mission Support Directorate, ensuring that Facility Management, Supply, and Security Operations comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs.
- Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
- Represents the Warrior Preparation Center, Mission Support Directorate with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.
- As Senior Logistics Consultant and technical advisor, leads the Logistics planning team.
- Serves as the logistics officer responsible for developing and monitoring directorate exercises budgetary estimates and inputs. Approving Official for Government Purchase Card (GPC) usage. Monitors expenditures for supplies and equipment, equipment maintenance contracts and local purchases related to exercise budget. Provides guidance to subordinates writing statements of work to contract local economy services and supplies.
